Since 1976, we have been individually handcrafting each piece of hardwood furniture of a specific customer. This provides us the flexibility to adapt our existing styles to fit the needs and desires of the purchaser or to create a totally new design for them.
We combine old world joinery, such as dovetails and mortise-and-tenons with contemporary and modern styling. Hand-rubbed oil finishes provide our furniture with a deep, lustrous look.
Owners Will Bucher and Mark Todd design, build and finish the furniture, and work with each customer before and after the sale to ensure their needs are met. Mark has been with Hill Country since 1995, and Will since 2006, and both have been designing and building much longer than that. Other craftspeople include Jen Hughes who has been building and finishing furniture at Hill Country since 1997, and Dave Peterson who has been with us since 2009.
